What’s the Same

Everything you loved about the Action AAP-01 is still here in the 01C Shinobi. It retains the polymer frame, and the overall layout of the airsoft pistol’s controls.

It also offers the same basic ergonomics (with a few upgrades, see below) along with a super-crisp, snappy, blowback action.

Like the original, this one has a gas blowback bolt that moves within the upper assembly. Lighter and quicker than a slide, it offers faster cyclic rates and firing than a full slide.

Which is a bonus here, since the AAP-01C is capable of semi and full-auto, like the original.

And, since most of the dimensions are identical to the original, it has been designed with near-complete compatibility with existing AAP-01 parts and upgrades.

So, like the original, you can customize an AAP-01C Shinobi in nearly any way you like.

All in all, all the good stuff remains the same. This is still an Action Army AAP-01, just with a few upgrades.

What’s New

The Action Army AAP-01C Shinobi GBB features an accessible fire control at the back of the pistol, enabling easier switches from safe to semi and full-auto modes.

It also features upgraded texturing along the grip, with a bit of stippling along the sides and scale texture at the rear, both of which improve handling.

The main upgrades to the AAP-01C Shinobi have to do with the upper. This GBB has a shorter upper than its forebear, giving it a lighter, more compact footprint.

Also, there are Pic rails integrated into the top and bottom of the upper assembly, giving the AAP-01C native compatibility with Picatinny accessories. Adding a light, optic, or laser to this GBB is a snap.

Make It Better: Action Army AAP-01 Upgrades

One of the great things about the AAP-01 Shinobi is that it is compatible with most if not all existing Action Army AAP-01 accessories.

This includes Action Army (and Glock) airsoft magazines, along with HPA adapters, tight-bore barrels, adjustable triggers, mag releases, short stroke kits, and more.
